A Very Long But Amazing Day

After hopping two planes and landing in Ghana, it can be hard to know where the day ended and when the next one began. But after a long flight, we all made it here safely!  Part of our group arrived yesterday, and the rest of us got here today.


In between our two flights, we used our Delta food vouchers to eat at Chili's! (We each got $18 because of the crazy flight cancellation).



This was our view as we landed in Accra, Ghana.

This is the dining room, where we have both breakfast and dinner.  Our chef is named Bonzi! :)





One of the first things we did upon arriving was to exchange our money.  The currency is called Cidi's.

We then jumped in a few taxis and used our new money to buy a few groceries from the local store- The Koala.
(I'm guessing "brown bread" means wheat bread, but who knows.)



So far the day has been amazing, and we're just beginning!
